Essex Tutoring is a New Jersey State Approved Provider of Supplemental Educational Services (SES). Under the 2001 No Child Left Behind Act students qualify for free tutoring if they:
- Receive free or reduced lunch, and
- Attend a public Title 1 school that the state deems is “in need of improvement” for two years or more.
If your child meets these qualifications and would like free tutoring, you are entitled to select a New Jersey approved SES provider to supply these services.
Providers are reimbursed directly by your school district. You do not need to pay anything.
Essex Tutoring Offers free Tutoring to Qualified SES Students. You and your child will receive:
- A free consultation to explain our program.
- Pre- and post-tutoring assessments detailing your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses.
- An educational program customized to your child’s needs and aligned with the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards.
- Frequent verbal and written feedback pertaining to your child’s progress.
All Essex Tutoring programs are developed and administered by NJ licensed teachers.
